When a designer creates a product like the Sorapot teapot, you know he will come with another amazing design soon after. Designer Joey Roth has now come with the aesthetically pleasing Ceramic Speakers made of porcelain, wood and cork, while the amplifier is made of stainless steel. The choice for these materials was made as they are beautiful in their natural state and the choice for porcelain was made because of its density and acoustical deadness that is just as good as wood and plastic.
Even though the design looks like the 21st Century Gramophone, it has a certain simplicity and DIY feel. The speakers can connect to your iPhone, and other digital player, but I suggest that people should hook up their vinyl players to the speaker to get the best feel and sound. I have had a listen myself, and can just melt with the great sound coming out of such a design master-piece. At $495, it isn’t cheap, but is worth it…..
